Beautify Your Kitchen with a Container Herb Garden

Herbs are great for for creating a container garden.You’ll keep your favorite herbs at your fingertips and beautify your deck, patio or windowsill. Herbs actually thrive and grow in the small space of a container.

Start by gathering your favorite herb plants, a container (be creative!), and a supply of rich potting soil. Make sure your container has good drainage because the herbs will need it! After adding a “base” of potting soil, place your herbs in a pleasing way on top of the soil. Once you’re satisfied with the look, continue adding soil until the plant roots are covered. Water well to “settle” the soil.

Finally, mulch your plants. All plants, but especially herbs, love mulch. Use organic materials like bark or leaves for best results.
